Thank you to all our attendees for making this such a successful event!
James Gutting, Director of Tire-Wheel Systems at General Motors gave the keynote address titled "Paving the Road to the Future: Wanted, New Technology to Improve Fuel Economy." Additionally, 24 internationally recognized speakers with a wide range of expertise conducted in-depth presentations covering important aspects of rubber and science technology. Five recipients of the prestigious Science & Technology awards presented a synopsis of their technical work on Tuesday afternoon.
173rd Technical Meeting registration included a CD-ROM of the presentations (shipped after the meeting), one ticket to the Science & Technology Awards Banquet and entrance to the Sponsors’ Reception.

Runners and walkers are invited to participate. Spouses and guests are also welcome. Registration is required. Sponsored by H. M. Royal, Inc.
Buses will pick up runners for transport to the race course which is located at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. The course is a flat, well marked bike path through the campus, including views of the Henry Ford estate. Prizes will be given for top male and female finishers and commemorative long-sleeved T-shirts will be given to all participants. Refreshments will be available following the race.
