4th Rubber Modified Asphalt Conference

Akron, Ohio ~ May 7-8, 2009

The Rubber Division ACS will hold the 4th Rubber Modified Asphalt Conference immediately following our 175th Technical Meeting next Spring. The conference is co-hosted by Rubber Division ACS, Rubber Pavements Association and Rubber Manufacturers Association in conjunction with the National Asphalt Pavement Association, Asphalt Institute, National Center for Asphalt Technology, Flexible Pavements of Ohio, Rubber Recycling Topical Group, Federal Highway Administration and the Regional Environmental Protection Agency.

Attendees are provided with a forum in which to learn about the uses of rubber- and polymer-modified asphalt, facilitate discussions between industries and government agencies, gain knowledge between industries on materials and specifications and open opportunities to expand the use of rubber- and polymer-modified asphalt.

"The E-Values of Rubber Modified Asphalt...Engineering, Economics and Environment"

This event will feature a Washington, DC, keynote on the "Future of Transportation & Research Funding" and will center around three sessions:

Engineering Rubber Modified Asphalt
Economics of Rubber Modified Asphalt and
Environmental Benefits of Rubber Modified Asphalt

As in the past, topics will include information on other polymers for modification, as well as rubber.
