The ACS Division of Polymer Chemistry, et. al. are sponsoring POLYCOM 2008 External Site Link "Commercial Innovations and Opportunities in Polymer Science" at the Moody Gardens Resort & Conference Center in Galveston, Texas, May 4-7, 2008. "This first of its kind conference invites industrial, government laboratory and academic scientists, IP professionals, entrepreneurs, and technology transfer specialists to present their short and long term commercialization targeted innovations and opportunities in polymer science. Sessions will include tutorials on technology transfer, funding opportunities, and IP issues, as well as breakthrough technologies from global experts around the world featuring polymer science solutions intended for existing and future commercial products."

Canadian Society for Chemistry 60th Annual Technical Program will be held at the Holiday Inn in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Both MRB and IRCO believe that IRC 2008 is a strategic event that will enable members of the rubber fraternity from both the public and private sectors to discuss the way forward and what more can be done to enhance and sustain positive growth of the rubber industry. Carrying the theme 'Meeting Challenges and New Frontiers', eight eminent scientists and experts in the rubber industry have consented to deliver keynote lectures, apart from invited speakers who would talk on specialized topics. The Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato' Seri Abdullah Amad Badswi, has been invited to officiate the IRC 2008 where he will deliver the Opening Speech."
